I own a few myself and some were a bit of a challenge to find but in the end, they were uncovered. It’s worth keeping in mind that although these patterns above may be difficult to find, they do turn up for sale every now and then. I would also recommend checking out Gertie’s own pattern company, Charm Patterns, as well as her Patreon as there are some stunning patterns available. There will definitely be a few Gertie pattern’s that I’ve missed but this should be enough to keep you going for a while. Some of these are still pretty recent so don’t get discouraged. The following patterns are an even more difficult hunt but I thought I would list them below because they do crop up online every now and again. As time progresses, these patterns may be harder and harder to find so keep an eye out on places such as Ebay, Etsy and your Facebook marketplace. I have also been told that some of these can be found as digital copies from the Simplicity/Butterick website. There are some of Gertie’s Butterick patterns that are still able to be found in stores and online. Gertie does have two patterns (that I know off) which are only sold through Simplicity and they are S8882 and S8873.

I will attempt to update as regularly as I can. It’s worth noting that some patterns may no longer be available or sold out (especially Gertie’s Butterick patterns), and new patterns may have been added. Gertie has her own pattern company known as Charm patterns and I will not be including those patterns nor the ones on her Patreon. Please Note: I am attempting to make this list as accurate as possible at the time of publication. It can get a little confusing looking for certain patterns so I’ve decided to create, to the best of my ability, a guide for finding the same pattern with both the Butterick and Simplicity numbers. Gertie was originally designing for Butterick but after her collaboration contract expired, she moved over to Simplicity so some of her patterns are being renumbered. We’ve talked about her a fair bit on my blog and even reviewed some of her patterns but lately, I’ve been asked a lot for help regarding Gertie’s patterns. Starting from her well-known blog, she has a successful youtube channel, a popular Patreon with monthly pattern releases, has collaborated with Butterick and Simplicity and so much more. She’s an incredible pattern and fabric designer with a flair for vintage styles and just a genuinely lovely person. For those of us in the vintage sewing community, we all know who Gertie is.
